Smart Giving From Your IRA
A Special Opportunity for Those 70½ Years Old or Older
You can take advantage of a simple way to benefit St. Teresa's Academy and receive tax benefits in return through a charitable IRA distribution. You can give any amount up to $100,000 annually from your IRA directly to a qualified charity, such as St. Teresa's Academy, without having to pay income taxes on the distribution.
Why Consider This Gift?
- Your gift can be put to use today through the Academy Fund, or directed to the St. Teresa’s endowment where the corpus will stay in place forever, allowing for distributions for scholarships or campus maintenance.
- You pay no income taxes on the distribution, as long as it is directed to a qualified charitable organization.
- If you have not yet taken your required minimum distribution for the 2019, your QCD can satisfy all or part of that requirement.
A Tax-Saving Way to Help St. Teresa's Academy
Did you know that you can designate St. Teresa's Academy as the beneficiary of all or a percentage of your IRA? It's simple, just requiring that you contact your IRA administrator for a change-of-beneficiary form or download a form from your provider’s website.
